How I Started Siloam
At Siloam Artisan Soap, our journey is one of faith, passion, and perseverance. It all began with a simple question I often asked myself during my college days: "I want to start something, but what?" Despite my eagerness to create something meaningful, the answer remained elusive. Life moved on, and even after landing a job, I still wondered about my true purpose.
Then came a new chapter—marriage. My husband, seeing my potential, encouraged me to stop searching for a job and start my own business instead. While I was still uncertain, one day, during a visit to a store, I picked up some handcrafted soap. It was then that he asked me a life-changing question: "Why don't you try making them?"
That moment marked the beginning of this incredible journey. With a love for organic products, spa indulgence, and cooking, creating soaps with goat’s milk—a luxurious, skin-loving ingredient—felt like the perfect way to combine my passions. I wanted each soap to be more than just a product; I envisioned them as pieces of art, carefully crafted to nourish the skin and delight the senses.
From my college prayers to today, I see God’s hand guiding this journey. The scripture from 1 Corinthians 3:6-7 resonates deeply with me:
"I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow."
Choosing a name for my brand was equally significant. I wanted it to reflect my faith and values. My sister suggested "Siloam", a biblical name inspired by the Pool of Siloam—a place of healing and blessing in the Bible. She even designed the logo, which perfectly captures the essence of our brand.
At Siloam Artisan Soap, we are committed to creating handcrafted, cold-pressed soaps using the finest natural ingredients like goat’s milk, essential oils, and nourishing plant-based oils. Every bar is made with love, care, and an unwavering dedication to quality. Our products are more than skincare—they’re a testament to the belief that being genuine in everything you do yields beautiful results.
